The Winery at Red Hawk on the River is a 260-acre guest ranch that offers vacation rentals, meeting rooms and halls, and a state-of -the-art equestrian center. The ranch is nestled along the Yakima River and the Alpine-like peaks of the Stuart Range in the Cascade Mountains of the Kittitas Valley. Situated near the historic town of Thorp, between Cle Elum and Ellensburg, Red Hawk Ranch is located in the heart of Washington, just 90 minutes southeast of Seattle.
Red Hawk Ranch's unique setting includes a pristine wooded sanctuary with meadows, ponds, streams, and a mile-long stretch of river access, recognized as one of the most coveted fly-fishing spots along the Yakima River. Throughout the idyllic grounds, guests can enjoy riding horses along trails and viewing the abundance of wildlife that live within the natural park-like setting of the ranch. For those with the spirit of roaming the range on horseback, we offer (by special arrangements) excursions to our sister-ranch, Elk Horn Ranch, a 10,000-acre estate in the foothills of the Kittitas Valley.
Whether our guest is an equestrian enthusiast, an avid sportsperson or a lover of the arts, Red Hawk Ranch and Kittitas Valley offers something for everyone. The Kittitas Valley is renowned for its diverse landscape and outdoor recreation, and offers a myriad of sports and cultural activities. The Kittitas Valley has plenty to do and see: guided river rafting (from Thorp), biking, hiking, golf (5 world-class courses are only a short drive from the ranch), downhill and cross-country skiing, (ski resorts are only 30 minutes from the ranch), nature walks, antique shopping, lectures, music events, art shows, live theatre performances, the Labor Day Fair & Ellensburg Rodeo, Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering, and much more! Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is happy to make all the necessary arrangements with local guides and outfitters for your off-site adventures.
Whether you enjoy RV camping on site or prefer the coziness of a ranch house, Red Hawk Ranch has the perfect lodgings to suit your needs. Our 3 and 4-bedroom vacation rentals are available for a weekend get-a-way, family reunions, weddings and corporate events. For guests who want to bring their horses, we offer stalls, pens and paddocks. Red Hawk Ranch is an ideal place for family gatherings.
